Day 3

Greetings!! This morning we again split and the men continued to do landscaping ( mostly brush cleanup and the moving of stones--landscaping would be a bit of a stretch). And the women split and several went to the baby home while the rest did some painting on play equipment(priming)and tomorrow we will finish the play equipment.
After lunch we prepared to do a little skit for the boys about David and Goliath, and a craft afterwards. We had the boys paint little wooden cars .
Words really don’t describe what I think we all are feeling about the work we are doing and the accommodations that we have and the time that we spend with the kids here. We pray that in some small way they will see the Love of Christ thru us, but they live in such a hard and difficult place and these are the lucky ones, to have a place that will give them shelter and food and a chance. There are moments that it seems overwhelming but we trust that the Lord will use this time in the boys lives to give them a hope. The manager of the hotel arranged the presidential suite for our devotions this morning and this evening and the contrast of this luxury to the work we do and it all comes from the Lord. The manager is a Christian and is devoted to helping Buckner Missions and has been able to use his position to God's glory.

Dear Nick & Nancy & team,
What beautiful pictures of those precious babies, loved by Jesus thru you. I wanted to encourage you with this verse: Jeremiah 32:17 "Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." Remember this when you think nothing you do in Guat will change their life, not true, with Jesus all things are changed.
Praying you stay focused, have physical and spiritual strength today. Love Mom & Dad VDH
