Thursday

Today was a day with mixed emotions. We accomplished quite a lot today in regard to laying tile. We grouted the first room and we finished tiling the second room. In the afternoon we had some tile left and tiled the director's office and it came out to the very last tile!! It looked so great, she will really enjoy not having a concrete floor. At noon, we went with all the kids from the orphanage to the Mayan ruins and had a picnic. There was pizza and pop and lots of climbing of the ruins and lots of soccer; it all went very well and everyone had a great time until it came time to leave and one little boy named Mario was missing. Of course our group was very upset about the whole ordeal, and we gave our best effort in searching for him, and we didn't quite know what to expect when we returned to the orphanage. But we later found out that he was consider a high-risk child (for running away) and the director wasn't as surprised as we were. Apparently he was brought to the orphanage three days ago and had been living on the streets. So it is assumed that is why he left. We are praying that he will return back to the orphanage so he will be safe. We were all really impressed with the children and how well -behaved they were. They are fortunate to be in this home that has a lot of people who care for them. I think they appreciate it also. We have all said that we are impressed with the total atmosphere of the orphanage. Celine is making improvements, so we are also thankful for that. So continue to pray for Celine and pray for Mario, that he will be kept safe and return to the orphanage. Also pray for our group, as tomorrow will be our last day. We plan on preparing breakfast for the children tomorrow; then at night they have a program for us, and we will present a slide show of this past week to them. It will be very emotional for all of us. It is hard to imagine that one week could have such an impact, but our hearts will be heavy having to say good-bye. Thank you for your continued prayer support of us! Hope everyone had a chance to see the picure at http://www.photobucket.com/login and there is also a short slideshow in the blog which will feature more of our photos later on Friday.
Till tomorrow.

What a beautiful, powerful ministry you have had in the hearts and lives of these children. Today I will pray that "he who began a good work in you will be faithful to carry it through to completion." Can you imagine what it will be like to see these kids someday for eternity? No more goodbyes! And you will hear "well done good and faithful servant". I pray also that your hearts will never be the same. Love especially to my kids and my man. Nancy

So I can get to picturebucket, but I can't navigate through it well enough to find out where to sign in and view photos. Everything seems to be a link to somewhere else. Can you give more instructions? Thanks! From technologically challenged Nancy

Nancy--
Try clicking on the Photobucket link on the right side of the blog under "Links of Interest". I have this linked to the login page, skipping the home page that is really busy and confusing. You aren't the only one having issues with finding where to sign in! Once you are logged in, just scroll down the page to see the photos and click on the photo to enlarge it and view it. There is also a slideshow on the blog site as of last night and the new photos will be added later to this.
If you have any questions or problems with it, let me know: jkwestendorp@sbcglobal.net

Hope you have success with the photos!
