What a beautiful morining!!! This IS the day that the Lord has made! Today we begin our work projects. We have quite a list of projects to accomplish this week. We will be removing a crumbling sidewalk and laying a new cement sidewalk in front of the boys dorm, putting up a cement block wall and painting.
Yesterday afternoon everyone's patience was truly tested. We were asked by the director at the orphanage if we would take the children by bus and accompany them to a fundraiser that was set up for them at the mall. We were told that the fundraiser would run from 3 to 5, however the fundraiser ended up going until 7:00. It was amazing for us to watch the children (all of them) just sit there the entire 4 hours. It seemed at times that we were more impatient than they were. From our perspective it appeared to be a great fundraiser. There were a lot of people watching and participating, including Liz and Ally who went up on stage and danced with a group! It took about 3 bus trips to get the children there and back. We pray that the Lord will continue to bless the orphanage with the necessary funds to provide for all the children.
For those of you wanting to see some pictures, we will try and get some uploaded yet today!
Please pray for our safety as we start our work projects this morning and for continued good health!
