Today was a great first day! We arrived at the orphanage around 9:30am and we were greeted with so many excited smiling children! We all were able to play with the kids and look at our work projects for the week in the morning. It is so great to hear how much english the kids are learning in school! Some of the kids are close to being fluent! We decided that we would start our projects of tiling the bakery and putting in drop ceiling in the boys dorm and bakery after lunch. So after lunch we got a crew going on both projects and got a great head start for the week! Tonight we got to eat at the orphanage with all the kids and we had awesome homemade tamales. After dinner we were able to watch a movie with the kids (despicable me) we also had some despicable me cookies to fit the theme! We are looking forward to some good sleep before we get to go back in the morning. There's not much better than returning to see their smiling faces flocking the van!
For tonight that is all. Continue to pray for us as we prepare for vbs as well as more projects.
