We got a great start today on our project and VBS! We worked on our projects today from 10:30-1:30 and then a few guys after lunch went back and work till 7pm and made great progress. We got almost all the tile done in the bakery. Tomorrow is grout and finishing the last little bit of tile! The drop ceiling in the boys dorm was a bit challenging with it being such a tight spot but also having beds to try and go around. We got that section done and are moving on to the bigger section of the boys dorm tomorrow.
This morning we got an opportunity to go visit the new school and see what a school day is like for the kids! A few of us stayed behind at the school and got to sit in on classes to get the full experience. It was great to see how much kids know in English and is amazing what kinds of things they are learning!
Our first day of VBS was great! We split up into 3 groups and had three stations to go to. The stations were story time, snack and activities and craft. After everyone was done with their stations we all got together and taught a new song to the kids and they loved it so much we sang it 4 times :). We then had an hour after vbs to finish projects and play with the kids. Which is always the high light of our day.
Tomorrow will be another busy day with projects and VBS but we are ready for the challenge!
